Job Title: Warehouse Keeper / Store Manager
Department: Warehouse Management and Supply Chain - Food and Beverage Sector
Required Experience: 8 years or more in warehouse management, preferably in the food and beverage sector.
The objective of this role is to manage the operations of receiving, storing, and distributing food products and supplies to ensure the availability of necessary stock for daily operations, maintain product quality and safety, reduce waste and loss, and ensure compliance with food safety standards and inventory control.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Receiving and Inspecting Goods
- Receive shipments from suppliers and ensure they meet purchase order specifications in terms of quantity, quality, and expiration dates.
- Inspect products, especially perishables and frozen items, and ensure their safety before acceptance.
- Reject or report any non-compliant goods.
2. Storage and Inventory Management
- Organize the storage of goods according to the First In First Out (FIFO) and First Expired First Out (FEFO) principles.
- Maintain appropriate temperature levels for each type of inventory: refrigerated, frozen, and dry.
- Organize the warehouse for easy access to goods and minimize waste and loss.
3. Distribution and Supply
- Distribute goods to the kitchen and dining areas based on verified requests.
- Monitor daily consumption and ensure accuracy in distribution quantities.
4. Auditing and Documentation
- Conduct regular inventory audits (daily, weekly, monthly) and ensure compliance with the system.
- Document all inventory movements: incoming, outgoing, damaged, and expired items in the warehouse management system.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, losses, and waste.
5. Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to food safety standards (HACCP) and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse at all times.
- Ensure the safety of equipment and tools used in the warehouse.
6. Coordination and Supervision
- Coordinate with the purchasing department to determine needs and reorder in a timely manner.
- Supervise warehouse staff, if applicable, and delegate tasks accordingly.
