Materials Inspector

Inspects, samples, and tests roadwork materials to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Controls material traceability, storage, acceptance, and documentation. Your role Inspect incoming materials (aggregates, asphalt, concrete, steel, geotextiles) vs. approvals. Witness field/lab tests (sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, compaction/density, slump, cubes, Marshall). Verify batch tickets, delivery notes, mill certificates, calibration certificates. Monitor storage, segregation, and protection of materials onsite. Check asphalt mix temperature, gradation, binder content during paving. Ensure conformance to ITPs, MS, and PQP; raise NCRs and follow corrective actions. Maintain lot-wise material acceptance records and traceability. Coordinate with third-party labs and QA/QC on test schedules and results. About you Solid knowledge of ASTM/BS/EN testing methods. Hands-on with lab/field equipment and acceptance criteria.
