span>As a Banquet Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating banquet operations, leading a team of banquet staff to deliver exceptional service during events within a hotel, resort, restaurant, or hospitality venue. Your role involves overseeing event setup, managing service delivery, and ensuring that all banquet functions run smoothly and meet guest expectations./strong> /span>
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Supervision and Coordination:
Lead and supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and support personnel, assigning duties, providing guidance, and ensuring that all team members perform their roles effectively.
Coordinate with team members to set up banquet spaces, organize event layouts, and manage service flow to maintain high service standards and deliver seamless guest experiences.
Event Execution and Service Delivery:
Work closely with the Banquet Manager or Event Coordinator to execute event plans, coordinate service timelines, and ensure that all event details are carried out according to client requirements.
Oversee food and beverage service, table settings, decorations, audiovisual setups, and other event elements to create a welcoming and professional atmosphere for guests.
Client Interaction and Guest Relations:
Interact with clients during events, addressing their needs, accommodating special requests, and ensuring that client expectations are met or exceeded to enhance guest satisfaction.
Maintain a professional demeanor, provide personalized service, and handle guest feedback or concerns promptly and effectively to uphold the venue's reputation for exceptional service.
Training and Development:
Train new banquet staff members on service standards, event procedures, and job responsibilities, ensuring that they are familiar with banquet operations and equipped to deliver quality service.
Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to team members, identifying areas for improvement and supporting their professional growth and development.
Operational Support and Logistics:
Assist in event setup, breakdown, and cleanup activities, ensuring that banquet spaces are prepared, organized, and maintained before, during, and after events.
Coordinate with kitchen staff, event planners, and support teams to streamline service operations, manage equipment and supplies, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during events.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Uphold high service standards, cleanliness protocols, and safety practices in banquet operations, adhering to health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and venue policies.
Conduct routine inspections, quality checks, and team briefings to ensure that all team members are aligned with service expectations and operational requirements for successful event execution.p> span> /strong> /span> span> /strong> /span> br>
Education:
Qualifications/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional certifications in hospitality, food service, or event management are beneficial.
Previous experience in banquet service, hospitality operations, or customer service roles, with demonstrated leadership capabilities and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Strong communication skills, team management abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Customer-focused mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve issues, handle pressure, and adapt to changing event requirements. Basic knowledge of banquet operations, food service procedures, and event setup logistics, with a willingness to learn and grow in a team leadership role.
