Protection Engineer

Job Title: C1 / C2 Protection Engineer Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia Duration: Yearly Renewable Contract Key Responsibilities:Perform testing and commissioning of C1 and C2 protection schemes in accordance with approved drawings, protection philosophies, project specifications, and applicable standards. Conduct secondary injection testing, relay configuration, parameter setting, and functional checks of protection relays. Analyze test results, identify malfunctions or abnormalities, and support troubleshooting activities during commissioning. Ensure strict adherence to HSE and safety procedures during testing and commissioning works. Coordinate with site teams, commissioning engineers, vendors, and client representatives to ensure smooth execution of activities. Prepare and submit test reports, relay setting documentation, as-built drawings, and commissioning records for final project handover. Experience Required:Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in testing and commissioning of protection systems, specifically C1 and C2 protection schemes, within substations, power plants, or industrial projects. C1 Protection Scheme: High criticality with full redundancy (main + backup protection), used for critical systems where supply loss is not acceptable.
