Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct initial purchasing operations in accordance with company policies and approved approval procedures.
- Evaluate offers and potential suppliers and assist in selecting suppliers based on quality, cost, and commitment to deadlines.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing purchase contracts and agreements, and negotiating delivery, quality, and payment terms within the limits of granted authority.
- Handle purchase requests, convert them into purchase orders, and follow up on their status until delivery.
- Update databases and purchase tracking systems to ensure information accuracy and provide monthly reports.
- Participate in improving purchasing procedures and techniques to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, auditing, financial review) to ensure materials are available on time and at the correct cost.
Qualifications and Requirements
- University degree in relevant fields (Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, or equivalent).
- Educational suitability for a trainee level with a desire for professional development in the procurement field.
- General understanding of procurement and supply principles, both theoretical and practical. Previous experience in an internship or entry-level role in a procurement department is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, procurement management systems, and databases (Excel/Sheets, ERP) is considered an advantage.
- Fluency in Arabic and basic English language skills for managing orders and communicating with international suppliers when needed.
- Residency within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in the specific province as stated in the job announcement.
