Welding Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.

3–7 years of experience in welding engineering.

Strong knowledge of ASME Section IX requirements and welding codes.

Proven experience in preparing, reviewing, and qualifying WPS, PQR, and WPQ.

Experience in welding quality control and inspection activities.

Familiarity with GTAW (TIG), SMAW, GMAW (MIG), FCAW, and SAW welding processes.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Knowledge of NDT methods (VT, PT, MT, RT, UT) is preferred.

AWS, CSWIP, or equivalent certification is an advantage.

Strong technical reporting and communication skills.

Develop, review, and approve welding procedures.

Coordinate welder qualification tests and maintain qualification records.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, and applicable codes.

Provide technical support and resolve welding-related issues during fabrication and construction activities.
