Job description We are hiring a Senior Localisation Engineer to be the primary builder of an Arabic-first localisation pipeline for a live, global game. An ambitious, well-backed international games company is building a specialised localisation capability from the ground up, and this is the engineer who makes it work in-engine. This is a hands-on Unity role for someone who believes great localisation starts with great code. You'll split your time between solving the immediate technical hurdles of bringing existing games into Arabic and building the long-term tools that let game teams automate it themselves. You'll own the pipeline, from RTL rendering to the automation that keeps a live title shipping in multiple languages. Discover the Role • Build the Framework: Create and maintain the core Unity packages and scripts that handle RTL text, dynamic layouts and localised asset loading across multiple titles. • Automate the Pipeline: Develop tools for automated string extraction and synchronisation with external translation systems, integrated cleanly with live-service titles. • Fix It at the Source: Work directly in existing game codebases to refactor UI systems that aren't compatible with Arabic text expansion or RTL. • Bring AI to QA: Implement AI-driven tooling for first-pass technical QA, flagging text clipping and rendering issues in Arabic automatically before they reach human testers. • Own the Hard Problems: Take the bidirectional text, shaping, font fallback and layout mirroring that make Arabic harder than a simple language swap, and solve them properly.
