About the Role:
Rateeb is a housekeeping service company specializing in providing professional cleaning and property-preparation services to short-term rental hosts and property owners.
We are looking for a Housekeeping Specialist to join our housekeeping team in Jeddah. The role involves traveling with another team member between short-term rental properties across Jeddah and ensuring each property is cleaned, prepared, and ready for the next guest.
This is a field-based position. Housekeepers may visit multiple properties throughout the day according to the cleaning schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare short-term rental properties according to Rateeb's cleaning standards and checklists.
- Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and other property spaces.
- Make beds and change bed linens and towels.
- Restock toiletries, cleaning supplies, and other guest supplies when required.
- Remove and dispose of waste properly.
- Check the property after cleaning to ensure it is ready for the next guest.
- Check inventory and report missing or damaged items.
- Take required photos of the property after completing the cleaning.
- Follow property-specific cleaning instructions and checklists.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, missing items, or other problems to the Rateeb team.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and attention to detail.
- Travel between different properties across Jeddah during the working day.
- Work efficiently as part of a two-person housekeeping team.
- Follow Rateeb's operational procedures, schedules, and quality standards.
- Maintain professional behavior and appearance at all times.
- No direct communication with guests is required.
Daily Workload:
The housekeeping team will travel to different properties throughout Jeddah based on the daily cleaning bookings.
- Expected daily workload: approximately 1–13 property visits per day, depending on bookings and property requirements.
- Typical cleaning time per property: approximately 20–45 minutes.
- The number of properties may vary depending on the size and condition of each property and the daily schedule.
Driving Requirement:
Driving is a mandatory requirement for this position.
The Housekeeping Specialist must be able to:
- Drive a small manual-transmission minivan safely and confidently.
- Drive between different locations across Jeddah City.
- Navigate efficiently between properties according to the daily schedule.
- Take responsibility for the vehicle and follow Rateeb's transportation and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in housekeeping, hotel housekeeping, or as a Room Attendant.
- Previous experience in short-term rentals, hotels, serviced apartments, or similar environments is preferred.
- Valid driving skills for a manual small minivan are required.
- Basic Arabic or English communication skills.
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform housekeeping duties throughout the working day.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies, linens, and other housekeeping materials.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and manage multiple property visits.
- Strong attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a two-person team.
- Willingness to work according to booking requirements, including Fridays when required.
Working Schedule
- Full-time
- 10 working hours per day
- 6 days per week
- Working hours are based on the daily cleaning bookings and operational requirements.
Overtime may be offered for:
- Work performed on Fridays.
- Hours worked beyond the official 10-hour working day, up to a maximum of 2 additional hours per day.
- Overtime is subject to Rateeb's operational requirements and applicable policies.
Compensation & Benefits
- Basic Salary: SAR 1,800 per month
- Food Allowance: SAR 300 per month
- Accommodation: Provided by Rateeb
- Transportation: Provided by Rateeb
- Medical Insurance: Provided
- Air Ticket: One flight ticket every two years
- Vacation: 42 days every two years
- Overtime: Available for eligible Friday work and additional working hours, subject to company requirements
