Head of Civi & Structural Engineering - KSA

Full Ownership of Engineering for Civil & Structures and have a vision, be proactive, ensure technology depth and commercial awareness within the team and maintain excellent rapport with Client /Consultants and other internal / external stakeholders for a smooth engineering delivery.

• Provide Engineering support during tenders with optimal solutions to be highly competitive as well as identify risks and mitigation measures.
• Ensure On-Time Delivery of the project (w.r.t. Civil & Structural requirements) & mitigate all risks
• Supervise and ensure feasibility of execution ensure profitability of the project
• Manage, monitor the works of sub-consultants for timely delivery with quality as well as ensure

optimised quantities.

• Ensure adherence to sequence of construction activities for smooth execution & support to site

execution team

• Ensure submission of deliverables for project and align the sequence of construction

activities by the site execution team

• Extend support to the Contracts department (for pre-bid queries), & the Site Execution team (support for queries related to feasibility & other aspects of design)
• Ensure completion of base design & detailed engineering and adherence of schedule of the project by ensuring submission of drawings & documents
• Ensure application of relevant international standards & codes of general engineering practices on

design & drawings, without compromising on quality and safety

• Ensure that the team is updated on latest technological trends

• Review of critical issues as required (faced) by the Project Site Execution team

• Undertake risk analysis for clear decisions analysing for the risk and facilitation for issuing of manufacturing clearance

• Review and analyse of desired productivity levels (Man-Hours allotted for the project)

• Conduct review meetings with Country / Cluster / Segment heads regularly to have a proactive on time in full completion of projects

• The Head is required to be proficient in structural components of Industrial Buildings and a proven experience in Substations (both Indoor GIS SS and Outdoor SS) upto 400kV, viz. steel structures, RCC structures, levelling and grading and the Geotechnical aspects.

• Excellent knowledge on C & S codes being practiced internationally., viz., BS EN codes, ASCE, European codes and Indian codes.

• Good knowledge in pre-cast design and installation as well as a good understanding of the construction methodologies

• Experience and understanding of the engineering practices of international clients in substations

especially in Middle East is preferable.
