Job description
Technology Management & Administration
- Manage various IT systems and provide day‑to‑day administrative support.
- Ensure continuous operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization (Hyper‑V), and cloud services.
- Work with Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Exchange Online, and Azure environments.
- Support data center operations and integrations between on‑premise and cloud platforms.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Deliver L1/L2 support for system, software, and network‑related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems on servers and end‑user devices.
- Collaborate with network and security teams to resolve connectivity and performance issues.
User Support & Equipment Setup
- Configure and deploy end‑user equipment including computers, printers, and peripherals.
- Support onboarding by preparing accounts, devices, permissions, and access for new users.
- Provide user training and guidance on standard tools (Windows, Microsoft 365, email, Teams).
Network Administration & Support
- Assist in managing switches, routers, wireless, and other network components.
- Support firewall configuration and troubleshooting and help maintain network security and uptime.
- Work with vendors and service providers (ISP, hardware, software) when needed.
System Maintenance, Monitoring & Backups
- Monitor the availability and health of IT systems and services.
- Perform routine health checks, apply patches and updates, and execute planned maintenance tasks.
- Configure, run, and monitor regular backup jobs for servers and virtual machines, and perform test restores.
Asset Inventory & Health Check
- Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of IT assets (laptops, desktops, servers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
- Track warranties and support contracts, and proactively plan renewals or replacements.
- Conduct periodic audits and health assessments of IT equipment.
Security & Compliance
- Implement and follow IT security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Help resolve security observations and vulnerabilities reported by security tools.
- Support compliance with internal policies and relevant industry standards.
Projects, Collaboration & ITSM
- Assist the Infrastructure Manager with new infrastructure/product implementations and upgrades.
- Coordinate with internal departments and third‑party vendors on IT tasks and projects.
- Work within ITSM/ITIL processes for incidents, changes, and service requests, ensuring SLA adherence.
- Monitor helpdesk/ticketing systems for timely response and resolution.
Technical Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date documentation for systems, networks, procedures, and configurations.
- Create basic Visio diagrams and technical documents to support IT projects and operations.
- Develop simple user guides and awareness materials to enhance internal IT literacy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in internal IT support / IT administration.
Required Skills
- Strong hands‑on experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server, and Microsoft 365.
- Good knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, basic networking (switching, routing, VLANs), and firewalls.
- Basic experience with Microsoft Hyper‑V and backup solutions.
- Familiarity with ITSM/ITIL concepts and ticketing/helpdesk systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills.
- Good communication skills in Arabic and English, with the ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
