MSS Innovation Analyst - Contractor

Implement the innovation strategy by applying improvements, conducting research, delivering technical talks and publications.

Core Responsibilities:

• Identify and implement process, tooling, and service enhancements based on challenges and leadership feedback.
• Conduct hands on research on topics related to Cybersecurity; produce white papers, blog posts, and conference talks.
• Build and test prototypes to test improvements.
• Present improvements to internal teams and collect feedback.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. [Related cybersecurity professional certificates/licenses are a plus]
• 1+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security.
• Academic or internship experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or threat intelligence. Preferred to be in an MSSP
• Strong background in scripting in Python
• Exposure to SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
• Exposure to containerization technologies, especially Docker (Kubernetes is a plus)
• Exposure to Git version control (CI/CD pipeline is a plus)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret complex data.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
