Key Responsibilities
CAD Responsibilities
- Prepare and update detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings for water supply networks, pipelines, STP facilities, and water tank structures.
- Convert engineering sketches, survey data, and field measurements into accurate CAD drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers and project teams to incorporate revisions and updates.
- Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and documentation control.
GIS Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and update spatial data related to water and wastewater infrastructure assets.
- Create and maintain GIS maps and databases using tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar software.
- Integrate CAD drawings with GIS spatial datasets.
- Generate thematic maps, asset layers, and spatial analysis reports.
- Support network planning, routing, and asset management activities.
Coordination & Documentation
- Work closely with engineers, surveyors, and field staff to ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain organized project documentation and version control.
- Validate field survey and GPS data before updating GIS databases.
- Assist in resolving technical software and mapping issues.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all CAD and GIS outputs meet internal quality standards.
- Conduct periodic checks and updates of infrastructure databases.
- Follow data security and documentation protocols.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, GIS, Surveying, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in CAD/GIS roles within water, wastewater, pipeline, or civil infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D).
- Strong knowledge of ArcGIS, QGIS, or other GIS platforms.
- Familiarity with GPS/survey data processing.
- Understanding of water distribution systems, STP layouts, and pipeline infrastructure.
