Director of Security

As the Director of Security for Luxury Hotel - Qiddiya, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of security operations across this premier leisure and waterpark destination to ensure the safety, privacy, and well-being of guests, team members, and assets. Operating at the highest standards of hospitality and guest experience, your role encompasses developing and maintaining world-class security protocols tailored to a dynamic waterpark environment, overseeing aquatic and crowd safety programs, delivering VIP and high-profile guest protection, and building a visible yet service-oriented security culture seamlessly integrated into the guest experience. You will serve as the primary security authority for the hotel and waterpark, ensuring full compliance with Saudi laws, regulations, and governmental requirements.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Security Strategy & Leadership

• Develop, implement, and continuously review the property s security strategy, policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with Luxury Hotel - Qiddiya brand values and the unique operational requirements of a combined hotel and waterpark facility.
• Establish and maintain a security culture that is visible, approachable, professional, and guest-centric, ensuring all security measures are delivered with care and sensitivity appropriate to a family leisure destination.
• Lead, manage, and inspire the hotel and waterpark security team, including Security Managers, Supervisors, Officers, and contracted security service providers, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic direction, training, mentorship, and performance management to all security personnel, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, conduct, and operational readiness.
• Represent the Security function at the Executive Committee level, providing strategic security counsel to senior hotel leadership.

VIP & High-Profile Guests

• Design, plan, and oversee comprehensive security programs for VIP guests, high-net-worth individuals, and other high-profile visitors to the waterpark and hotel.
• Liaise with government security agencies, Ministry representatives, and external security teams to ensure coordinated protection arrangements when required.
• Maintain awareness of protocol requirements for high-profile guests, ensuring security operations are aligned with guest sensitivities.
• Establish and maintain a discreet network of trusted contacts within Saudi security, government, and relevant circles to facilitate operational coordination.
• Manage multi-agency security coordination for major events and high-profile visits, ensuring clear command structures, communication protocols, and contingency planning.

Security Risk Management & Intelligence

• Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments, threat analysis, and vulnerability reviews across all hotel and waterpark areas, including pools, water attractions, public leisure areas, back-of-house operations, car parks, and perimeter zones.
• Maintain an operational awareness program monitoring threats relevant to the property s guest profile, geographic location, and operational environment.
• Develop and maintain robust risk mitigation strategies, translating assessments into actionable security plans and operational procedures.
• Provide regular security briefings to hotel leadership, adapting operational posture in response to changing threat environments or guest profiles.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The role demands strong expertise in guest safety management, crowd control, aquatic environment security, and event security operations, combined with executive coordination and government liaison capability within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will possess outstanding decision-making, crisis leadership, and incident command capabilities, with the ability to operate with authority and composure across a dynamic, high-volume family leisure destination. Strong analytical and risk assessment skills are essential, alongside deep expertise in security risk management, emergency preparedness, and business continuity planning including aquatic-specific emergency scenarios. The role requires a solid understanding of Saudi regulatory, governmental, and security frameworks, combined with a professional network across Saudi security, government, law enforcement, and hospitality sectors. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to engage confidently with guests of all ages and backgrounds. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to embed a visible, service-oriented security culture consistent with a world-class waterpark and hotel destination.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Hospitality Management, or a related field. A Master s degree or equivalent advanced qualification is desirable.

Experience: Extensive, proven senior security leadership experience within hotels, leisure resorts, waterparks, or large-scale hospitality venues in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a demonstrated track record at Director level or equivalent. Experience planning and delivering security operations for high-profile events, large guest volumes, VIP visits, and complex leisure facility environments. Demonstrated experience in crowd management, access control, event security, and aquatic or leisure venue safety. Proven capability in executive coordination, VIP security planning, event security management, and liaison with government and security authorities. Experience engaging with Ministry representatives, Saudi security agencies, and senior government stakeholders.
