Consultant Adult Cardiac Intensivist

The Adult Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit has 10 beds, plus 5 step down beds. The most common cardiac surgical procedures include:

• Heart and lung Transplant
• Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery
• Valve Repair and/or Replacement
• Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm Repair
• Congenital Cardiac Defect Repairs

Requirements:

• Medical Degree
• Current, active medical license in: Canada, the United States, the UK, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand
• National Board Subspecialty Certification in Critical Care/Cardiac Critical Care from the United States, Canada, the UK, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand
• Minimum strong>five years/strong> of post-specialty certification experience as a Consultant in Adult Cardiac Critical Care working in a tertiary-care, academic hospital in the United States, Canada, the UK, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand
• Academic appointment preferred
• Research experience preferred
