SHE Engineer

JOB PURPOSE

This role exists to Support delivery of Unilever s Zero Harm ambition at Jeddah Factory by implementing Unilever SHE Standards, ensuring compliance with KSA regulations, and building a strong safety culture across all shifts and lines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement and sustain Unilever SHE Standards and local legal requirements in the factory (risk assessments, permits-to-work, LOTO, machine safety, contractor management, etc.).
• Lead or support SHE risk assessments (JHAs, HAZOPs, ergonomics) and ensure timely closure of actions.
• Coordinate incident and near-miss reporting, investigation and learning; track corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor SHE KPIs (injuries, near misses, audits, inspections) and drive continuous improvement plans.
• Deliver SHE inductions, training, coaching and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
• Support projects and capex (new lines, layout changes) to ensure SHE by design .
• Participate in internal and external audits and ensure ongoing compliance with Unilever and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, Maintenance and HR to embed SHE in daily operations at Jeddah Factory.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Engineering or SHE-related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in SHE or HSE roles in manufacturing / factory environment preferred.
• Knowledge of KSA occupational safety, health and environmental regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
• Effective communication, coaching and influencing skills across levels and shifts.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• NEBOSH IGC.
• OSH Certificate.
