We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Engineer to join our team in Makkah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing occupational health and safety strategies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of local and international occupational health and safety laws and regulations, as well as the ability to assess risks and provide necessary recommendations to improve the work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement occupational health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and identify potential hazards in the work environment.
- Provide training and educational courses for employees on occupational health and safety practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
- Conduct investigations into accidents and injuries and provide detailed reports on findings.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of occupational health and safety programs and provide necessary recommendations for improvement.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the field of occupational health and safety.
- Provide support and advice to management on occupational health and safety matters.
- Prepare periodic reports on occupational health and safety performance.
- Coordinate occupational health and safety activities with external parties such as government agencies and suppliers.
Preferred Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in industrial environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local and international occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to analyze problems and make data-driven decisions.
- Recognized certification in occupational health and safety, such as NEBOSH or OSHA.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to provide accurate reports.
