Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Graphic Designer to join our Engineering Team! In this role, you will utilize advanced design technology to create complex visual communications, proposals, and presentations that support multidisciplinary design projects in infrastructure, buildings, landscape, and related fields. You will also lead and mentor a functional team of graphic designers embedded within the Design Engineering Team.

What You ll Be Doing :

  • Managing and coordinating the execution of graphic design deliverables across multiple engineering and design projects.

  • Utilizing current graphic design technology and software to prepare layouts for proposals, presentations, reports, and visual media under minimal supervision.

  • Performing the most difficult and complex graphic design assignments.

  • Designing and preparing complex art and copy layouts in accordance with the Company s and Client style manual and project branding requirements.

  • Working directly with the Technical/Design Director, Managers, Engineers, Architects, and other project authors to review and improve submitted artwork and text for clarity, consistency, and technical accuracy.

  • Designing and producing complex, reproduction-ready graphics, including charts, diagrams, maps, tables, infographics, and posters to support infrastructure, buildings, and landscape, as required in the projects.

  • Modifying existing artwork and providing reproduction data such as reduction sizing, quantity, file formats, and paper/ink selection for both print and digital outputs.

  • Translating complex technical information and engineering data into clear, visually engaging content for clients and stakeholders.

  • Leading a functional team of Graphic Designers to complete assignments on time and to a consistent quality standard across multiple disciplines.

  • Reviewing lower-level designers' work for accuracy, adherence to branding and style guidelines, and attention to detail.

  • Associate degree in Graphic Design or certificate of completion from an accredited design/graphics course, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Typically 5+ years of related work experience in advanced graphic design.

  • Proficiency in graphic design technology and software used to complete complex graphic design assignments, such as Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and presentation tools.

  • Thorough knowledge of graphics production techniques and reproduction/printing processes, including preparation of press-ready and digital-ready files.

  • Ability to work with complex documents and technical content, including proposals, reports, engineering drawings, diagrams, and data visualizations.

  • Strong attention to detail, layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.

  • Demonstrated aptitude and commitment for organizing, scheduling, and completing large-scale complex graphic design assignments on time.

  • Proven potential to perform in a lead capacity and provide technical guidance, feedback, and quality review to team members.

  • Strong collaborative skills to work directly with Technical Engineers, Architects, and project authors in a multidisciplinary environment.

  • Ability to apply and maintain strict corporate style and branding standards across diverse media formats and multiple disciplines (infrastructure, buildings, landscape, etc.).

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interpret and visually express complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to support a wide range of design tasks within an Engineering Team environment.
