Job description
1. Strategic Business Development
Identify and develop new growth areas like below (but not limited to):
- Water reuse & recycling
- Industrial ZLD solutions
- Desalination PPP / HAM projects
- Digital water / AI-based solutions
Evaluate non-traditional opportunities (Build-Own-Operate, Hybrid Annuity, PPP)
2. Special Initiatives / New Ventures
Lead new initiative projects such as:
- Waste-to-energy (Bio-CNG, sludge reuse)
- Green hydrogen-linked water solutions
- Sustainability-driven water projects
Work on pilot projects / first-of-its-kind solutions
3. Market Expansion (Geographies)
Identify opportunities in:
- Middle East and Africa
Conduct:
- Market entry strategies
- Competitor benchmarking
- Regulatory & funding analysis
4. Partnerships & Alliances
Develop strategic tie-ups with:
- Technology providers
- EPC partners
- Investors / funding agencies (World Bank, PPP bodies)
Structure JV / consortium models
5. Bid Strategy & High-Value Deals
Support mega project pursuits:
- Pre-bid strategy
- Commercial structuring
- Risk assessment
Work closely with:
- Proposal, technical, finance teams
6. Innovation & Sustainability Initiatives
Identify opportunities aligned with:
- ESG goals
- Circular water economy
Promote:
- Water reuse
- Energy recovery from wastewater
7. Stakeholder Management
Engage with:
- Government bodies / municipalities
- Industrial clients (oil & gas, power, etc.)
- Multilateral agencies
B.E (Mechanical / Chemical / Environmental / Civil)
MBA (Preferred – Strategy / Marketing)
8–15 years business development experience in EPC / Infrastructure / Water industry
Strong understanding of:
- EPC business model
- Water / wastewater treatment technologies
Strategic thinking & market intelligence
Financial modeling & commercial acumen
Business development experience in international markets (MEA / Africa)
