Head of Freight

Ultimate Peaks is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Freight to lead and oversee all freight and logistics operations for our client. This strategic leadership role will drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service excellence across the supply chain, ensuring timely and reliable transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive freight and logistics strategies aligned with the company s overall business objectives.
• Manage end-to-end freight operations, including inbound, outbound, and cross-border shipments.
• Negotiate contracts and build strong relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
• Oversee transportation planning, routing, and scheduling to optimize delivery times and costs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and customs requirements.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration, performance improvement, and professional development.
• Monitor freight KPIs, analyze data to identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

Bachelor s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. 10+ years of experience in freight management, supply chain operations, or logistics leadership roles. Proven track record of managing large-scale freight and transportation operations. Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, shipping regulations, and customs clearance processes. Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency. Familiarity with logistics software and freight management systems is a plus. Fluency in Arabic and English preferred.
