King Saud University for Health Sciences Announces Fire Inspector Position

Job Title and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive fire prevention inspections and report deficiencies and regulatory violations.
• Inspect to ensure compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and standards or equivalent.
• Perform functional testing and inspections of fire detection and alarm systems, suppression systems, and fire extinguishers.
• Inspect hot work areas and issue work permits after verifying regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate the replacement of defective firefighting equipment and repair of alarm and sprinkler systems.
• Inspect construction work to ensure maintenance of fire safety requirements and standards.
• Prepare detailed reports of inspection findings and provide necessary corrective recommendations.
• Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions and ensure adherence to fire safety regulations.
• Review and approve engineering plans, evacuation routes, and fire defense systems.
• Assess the need to isolate areas or fire alarm devices to reduce false alarms.
• Perform any other job-related tasks as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Preferably at least one year of practical experience in fire protection and building firefighting.
• Valid Saudi driving license (essential requirement).
• National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) certification (preferred).

Educational Qualification

• Main Specialization: Occupational Safety and Health
• Other Specializations: Security Services or a related field (essential)

• IELTS: 5 or above
• TOEFL iBT: 51 or above
• TOEFL PBT: 466 or above
