Senior Quantity Survey Engineer

Job Purpose The Senior QS Engineer will be responsible for managing all commercial and quantity surveying activities for civil construction projects, ensuring effective cost control, accurate measurement, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents for civil works. Manage interim valuations, progress payments, and final accounts. Measure and value variations, claims, and change orders. Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow; report cost variances. Coordinate with site, planning, and procurement teams to ensure cost alignment. Support preparation of claims, EOTs, and contractual correspondence. Review subcontractor payments, variations, and final settlements. Ensure compliance with contract conditions (FIDIC or similar). Participate in negotiations with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Provide commercial input to project management and senior leadership. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.5+ years of experience in quantity surveying for civil construction projects. Strong experience in infrastructure, roads, utilities, or large-scale building projects. Proven background working with main contractors. Solid understanding of FIDIC contracts and standard forms. Strong skills in measurement, cost control, and commercial reporting. Proficiency in Excel and quantity surveying tools/software. Experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is highly preferred. Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
